Mei Lin Meyers (b. 2002, Westmead) is an emerging Queer, Trans and Disabled artist of Chinese-Anglo heritage, who lives and works on unceded Dharug and Gadi Land. His playful practice webs together drawing, painting, sculpture and installation, as a way to explore complex feelings of dis/comfort, grief, and disorientation.
Mei Lin's practice currently explores the ways in which white supremacist notions of gender, race and sexuality are echoed through language, objects and rituals.They embrace sensorial, ancestral, and embodied ways of being and knowing, as a way to creatively detangle from these systems of power.
Mei Lin grew up in Greater Western Syd on unceeded Dharug Land (Northmead, Winston Hills, and Kenthurst).
Mei Lin has exhibited at PARI, Kudos Gallery, AD Space and Goodspace Gallery. Mei Lin was the Winner of the 2025 Kudos Emerging Artist Award. He was also awarded Highly Commended for the 2025 Tim Olsen Drawing Prize.
He is currently completing Bachelor of Fine Arts (Honours) at UNSW ADA.
